We absolutely love our cover garment this month – Sylvia Watts-Cherry’s beautiful Aretta Haze jumper (page 14) is lightweight, has a delicate eyelet pattern and is in a beautiful shade of teal that suits everybody. The fact it is made in Rowan Alpaca Classic is a lovely bonus! The shawl on page 82 shows that when it comes t o showing off stunning indie yarn, simple stitches can be best... and our KAL continues with some mustmake socks (page 24), the colour and texture inspired by pink coral found off the coast of Italy - if only we could say the same! For our Fair Isle fans, the Pusheen jumper (page 50) takes colourwork to delicious new levels, and we also have fabulous new patterns from Rowan, Rico and DROPS, so you have plenty to choose from in an array of colours!
We have some gorgeous home makes this time, from Anni Howard’s stunning textured cushion (page 47), and not one but TWO Jacinta Bowie knits: a delightful boho beaded bag (page 36) and a rustic wall hanging (page 56) that’s a great way to try out some new stitches.
We also have a chat with brilliant children’s knitwear designer, Jane Burns (page 23) – see her adorable flowerpot baby cardigan on page 19 – tell you all you need to know about local yarn shop champions, UK Hand Knitting (page 62) and share our top 9 reasons why you need to try sock knitting (page 32).
