As I write this month’s welcome letter, it seems as if the rain in the UK (and particularly the in North West) is never ending – talk about spring showers – and my poor roof is really suffering in these recent storms. The beauty of a magazine and crocheting though, is the chance to escape the everyday (soggy) mundanity with some lovely patterns!

It’s important to keep the sun off your skin on your travels, and we have you covered (in more ways than one) with the Sunshine shawl (page 12), the Mix & Match bucket hat (page 74) and the stunning Dappled Light parasol (page 18). For those travelling to breezier climates, enjoy the lightweight garments from the Feeling Floral sweater (page 26) to the Snug cardi (page 62). Perhaps you’d like to map out your travels with the World of Wonder blanket (page 48) or stay cosy in your camper van with the Travelling in Style blanket (page 30). Speaking of blankets, be sure to check out our brand-new crochet-along on page 36, where you can find an exclusive subscription offer to get all the yarn you need to join in!!

It wouldn’t be an issue of Crochet Now without our favourite regulars, from Kerry at TOFT to the yarn news, and of course the Bella Coco Crochet Chronicles – I hope you will love your exclusive crochet hook and stitch marker this month to add to your collection. Finally, I am so excited to welcome Moomins to the Crochet Now pattern library – have fun making Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll (page 22)!

Merry making!
