Cut a piece of cardstock to measure the same size of the card front. Cover with patterned paper,  leaving a narrow border all around.

Cut the same-sized star from the panel and affix onto the card front. Cut a smaller size star from contrasting patterned paper and affix this into the aperture using 3D foam pads.

Add a gem as shown and stamp the sentiment along the bottom to finish.
