You make my heart flutter - an elegant any-occasion card
A great card for the more experienced crafter. Use masks in a variety of ways, and learn how to create a faux bleach effect using a baby wipe
Using the Spread Your Wings mask and Broken China Distress Ink, lightly blend the butterflies and swirls directly onto the card front.
Mat a 41/2”-square piece of Ink Me! cardstock onto gold Mirri Card, leaving narrow borders all around.
Blend Crushed Olive and Broken China Distress Ink randomly onto the Ink Me! cardstock to cover the entire panel.
Next, ink the ‘BEAUTIFUL’ sentiment from the mask using Peacock Feathers Ink down the left-hand side of the inked panel.
Using the large butterfly and the swirls from the mask, place it over the inked panel and remove ink through the stencil using a baby wipe. Mount the panel onto the card front using 3D foam pads.
Stamp the solid butterfly image onto a piece of Ink Me! cardstock using the Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
Once dry, stamp the detail layer on top using some VersaMark ink and heat-emboss with gold embossing powder.
Stamp the sentiment onto another piece of Ink Me! using VersaMark, and heat-emboss. Cut both pieces down to size, inking the edges using Broken China Distress Ink. Mount both onto the card front using 3D foam pads to finish.
