Under the weather - a quick, clean and simple get well card
See how to use the negative masking technique to colour the stamped cloud image on this simple yet effective design.
Stamp the cloud and sentiment onto a white 10x10.5cm panel and follow the negative masking technique detailed in steps 4 to 6 below to colour the design using the small cloud stamp.
Stamp raindrops and lightning bolts below the focal image as shown using purple ink.
Once you’re happy with the image, mount it onto a purple 10x11cm card blank and add glitter highlights with clear sparkle pen to finish.
Negative Stamping Technique - Stamp the image onto a piece of copy paper and cut out an aperture to create a mask for the areas you want to stamp.
Place the mask over your stamped image, ensuring that the aperture lines up with the image, and use various shades (or generations) of coloured inks to stamp the pattern, covering the open area.
Remove the mask to reveal the patterned image and add detail with alcohol markers or pencils where desired.
