Tried & Tested: KnitPro Zings Interchangeable Circular Needles Review

The latest subscription gift with Knit Now Magazine is the KnitPro Zings Interchangeable Needle Set. A few years ago, Kate took a closer look at this set to show you how they look in action. Since we've been lucky enough to get our hands on some more of these amazing sets to give away as subscription gifts, we thought it would be a good time to revisit the reivew!

What I loved about the Zings in my first review:

  • The cable lengths are colour-coded so you can easily grab the one you need
  • Cable connectors are included to allow you to create custom-length cables
  • The join is nice and smooth
  • The tips feel smooth and solid but not too heavy
  • Eight sizes of needle tips included in the kit

Update:

  • I've been using the needles regularly for the past few years and they have held up well
  • I've also mixed and matched these tips and cables with the rest of my KnitPro collection and everything always fits together seamlessly
  • There haven't been any breaks or snags with the cables
  • The tips themselves look just like new - no colour transfer or wear-and-tear visible
  • The case is surprisingly sturdy! I've moved house with it a couple of times and it's still in tip-top condidion, even the clear front.
