Top tips for using your needle tags
Knit Now issue 151 comes with some fabulous needle size tags - here are our top tips for using them!
Use the tags to remember which needle you used
If you're knitting on interchangable circular needles but need to take the tips off to use for another project, use the corresponding needle tag to keep note of which size tips you were using so you can carry straight on when you're ready!
Use the tags to label DPNS
DPNs can be tricky to keep together, particularly if they're just rolling around in your needle bag! Use some scrap yarn, string or elastic band to bind a group of same-sized DPNs together and attached the appropriate needle size tag so you can easily identify what size they are as soon as you pick them - no needle gauge needed!
Use the tags to keep track of needle when you change sizes
Some projects, particularly those with ribs, such as hats or mitts, use different needle sizes. Use the needle tages to remind yourself what size needles you used for different parts of your knitting - you can attach them using a handy stitch marker, as shown above.
