Sentiment Die-Cutting Tips

A die-cut sentiment doesn't have to be plain and simple - really make yours stand out and also get maximum value out of your dies!   1. Save the bits - never throw away the little extra bits from intricate dies - use them for creating cute and environmentally friendly shaker cards.
  2. Don't lose the Tittle - if you don't know what it is - watch the video! (can you guess?)
  3. Chop off the metal pieces that attach your dies together with snips and be sure to remove it all to prevent getting snagged on your fingers or clothes.
  4. Try die-cutting your sentiments in acetate then adhering in order to create quick, no glue shine!
  5. Heat emboss! repeat the process until you're really happy with how shiny and thick your sentiment looks!
  6. Use masking tape to only emboss the bottom half of your die for a dip effect
  7. Use a gel pen to add the illusion of dimension to make a faux bubble effect
  8. layer die-cuts to create a shadow by offsetting your die.
  9. Add glitter using stick-it adhesive on the front of your die-cut! (it's usually for the back!)
  10. Get out your pens and markers and colour your die-cut sentiment!
  11. Glossy Accents - once you have used this product you will never not have it in your Craft Stash!
  12. Ombre! Ink up your sentiments to create a pretty ombre effect
  13. Scrape off sticky bits of die-cuts with your other cutting plate - just scrape!
  14. Use a lint roller for super easy clean up!
  15. Use masking tape or washi tape to create a 'web' of multiple dies to save time!
