threadcount dress and jacket low

The Jacket Pattern

Sew yourself a chic lined jacket with a shawl collar, shoulder pads and an eye and hook closure.  This jacket is perfect for workwear and evening wear depending on the fabric you choose.  We used Fab Baby Pink Wool from www.fabworks.com for this classic jacket pattern.

threadcount peplum top low

Peplum Top

This pullover top has a gently gathered neckline and there's also a small button-and-loop closure at the centre back.  We used a pretty Prestige Crepe in pale coral from www.abakhan.co.uk.

threadcount dress low

Pretty Flared Dress Pattern

Teamed with the jacket this dress is great for work and more formal occasions. On it's own it's a perfect party dress and would be great for summer holidays too.  The dress is an elongated version of the peplum top and features an elasticated waist which is very forgiving.  The fabric we used is a Bow print cotton lawn in white and black from www.abakhan.co.uk

threadcount trousers 2 low

Straight Leg Trousers Pattern

The straight-leg trousers have side pockets and the easiest fly zipper youll ever sew. There are top-stitched hems but we think this is the perfect project to practise your blind hemming skills.  The fabric is Starry Night speckled suiting in grey from www.fabworks.co.uk

threadcount skirt low

Princess Seam Pencil Skirt Pattern

This classic princess seam pencil skirt is perfect for the office.  It has a back zip and hemline vent making it easy to fit and wear.  Why not team it with the Peplum top tucked in for a clean look as we have done here.  Again we used Starry Night speckled suiting for this skirt available at www.fabworks.com
