The Wool Pack Podcast
With everything that's going on right now, we know a lot of you could do with some friendly chatter. Last month, the teams behind Knit Now, Crochet Now & Your Crochet & Knitting decided to try our hands at creating a podcast! It's still early days and we're just finding our feet with it, but we'd love for you to give it a listen. You?ll get a little look behind the scenes of our magazines and get to know us a little bit better.
The easiest way to listen to the podcast is via a podcast app on your phone or tablet. The podcast is listed on Stitcher, Spotify and Google Podcasts, so if you use any of those apps you should be able to find us by searching for The Wool Pack. You can also listen on the web below. Make sure you subscribe so that you?ll be the first to know when we release new episodes!
Episode 1: Meet the Pack
Welcome to the first episode of the Wool Pack podcast, with Jenny from Crochet Now magazine, Joanna from Your Crochet & Knitting magazine and Kate from Knit Now magazine. This is where we chat about all things warm and woolly. In this episode, we learn that Jenny hasn't met many babies, Kate appreciates you all very deeply and Jo has had enough of not being able to feel her thighs.
Episode 2: Knit & Natter with Kate Atherley
In this episode, our own Kate Heppell (editor of Knit Now magazine) chats with Kate Atherley (designer and author) about everything that goes in to creating knitting patterns. One of the Kates lets slip a couple of trade secrets but you'll have to listen to find out!
Episode 3: The Blanket Fort Chronicles
It?s a very weird time so thank goodness we have our yarn. The team has been split up this week as we?re all working from home, but Jo and Kate managed to connect for a little chat about what?s going on in the woolly world. We talk mental health, yarn stockpiling and WFH tips. Spoiler alert: Kate's main tip is build a blanket fort.
Episode 4: Splendid Isolation with Juliet Bernard
How is the yarn world rising to the challenges of these interesting times? Kate and Jenny chat to Juliet Bernard of the UK Handknitting Association about what we can all do to help each other out. We also cover waddling penguins, the link between breadmaking and knitting, shopping our stashes and nerdy knitting.
If you have any suggestions for topics you'd like us to cover or people you think we should invite on to the podcast for a chat, please let us know.
