The Campaign for Wool looks to hold the biggest ever celebration of the fibre- The Wool House. The main aim of the Campaign for Wool is to get natural wool on the agenda for interiors, in fashion and with we craft makers - not that we need a lot of persuasion. Here at Knit Now HQ, we love real wool, so an 11-day event celebrating the fibre is right up our street.

The Wool House, set in London's Somerset House, leads with wool in the home. They've invited home designers to show how they use wool extensively in their work in room sets featuring beautiful fabric and flooring. There's also the chance to see Shauna Richardson's infamous 'crochetdermy' bear if you've missed it so far.

There's also room for the celebration of wool in fashion - with a showcase of fine woven fabrics and tailoring, as well as a history of the importance of wool in fashion design.

The curator, interiors stylist Arabella McNie, said "I am determined to show wool as a modern fibre and visitors will see a broad spectrum from ultra-modern and hi-tech to highly luxurious and more traditional" -something most of us have known all along, but by visiting this exhibition, we can lend our support to the cause! With the opportunity to hear from some of the leading knitwear designers too, it's an event not to be missed.

The Wool House runs from 13th to the 24th March at Somerset House. Admission is free. For more information look on the Campaign for Wool website.
