With The Make Arcade’s Easter Decorations Felt Craft Kit (£18, available here) you can create a cute set of felt decorations for Easter! The kit includes everything you need to make a felt bunny, chick, Easter egg, flower and carrot. Twine is also included so that you can even make them into an Easter garland!

To give you a sneak peek of the crafting fun in this kit, we have a step-by-step guide and templates for you to create the mini Easter bunny:

You will need: Coloured felts, ribbon, toy filling, needle and threads, pins and scissors.

To start: Cut out all the templates from paper and then pin to the felt (or draw round them) and cut out to make all your felt pieces.

How to Sew!

1

Using black thread stitch on some little eyes and a mouth and nose. We use a satin stitch to create a solid area for the nose. A subtle smile will look very cute for the mouth!

2

Stitch on the pink cheek pieces either side of the bunny face. Add some longer whiskers with long stitches

3

Place the pink ear pieces in the middle of the grey ears and stitch in place.

4

Cut some dark pieces of felt to put in the middle of the flowers and sew in position near the ears and above the eyes.

5

Put the stitched piece over the other bunny piece and pin together. Fold a piece of ribbon in half and put between the layers at the top of the head and pin. Start to stitch all around the outside of the head, securing the ribbon as you go. Don’t stitch right around - leave a gap to push some filling in.

6

Push some toy filling in the gap and sew it up, and voila – your bunny is complete!
