Stitched Together: Chorlton Crafts & Gifts, Manchester
What's your shop called? Is there a story behind the name?
Chorlton Crafts & Gifts.
Where is your shop and what is the neighbourhood like?
Chorlton-Cum-Hardy is a suburban area of the city of Manchester, known locally as Chorlton. It is about four miles southwest of Manchester City Centre. It's a very bustling place full of shops, with a fabulous precinct!
Who works at your shop?
Just the 2 of us; myself, Jeanne, and Sandra who is an amazing help!
What makes your shop special?
We are an Aladdin's Cave! Not only are we full of yarn, but also papercraft bits, haberdashery, gifts, and just about everything you need!
What are your most popular yarns?
James C Brett, Cygnet, Stylecraft and Robin are the big sellers for us, as you might expect.
Do you have a knitting group? When do they meet?
We don't have a knitting group at the moment, but we do run card making workshops every other Tuesday in the day and evening.
What's your favourite piece of knitting advice?
Always make sure you buy enough, if not too much, wool for your project! I am always happy for any extra for your project to be returned in the shop.
