Die-cut 22 squares from fabric a, and 21 squares from each of fabrics b and c.

Join the squares into rows of eight, right sides together, in the following order: rows 1, 4 and 7: a, b, c, a, b, c, a, b; rows 2, 5 and 8: c, a, b, c, a, b, c, a; rows 3 and 6: b, c, a, b, c, a, b, c. Press the seams to the left on even rows and to the right on odd rows.

Join the rows together in sequence from 1 to 8, and press. Pin the top and back right sides together and stitch, leaving an opening of 6” on one side for turning, the back is larger than the front at this point.

Trim the back to the same size as the front. Turn the cushion right side out and insert the cushion pad. Slip-stitch the open edges together.
