As I write this Christmas is so close we can almost touch it! All the hard work is done –presents are bought, Christmas cake is baked (I will decorate it at some point!), Christmas cards are made and in the post, and now it’s time to relax and enjoy the festivities. And what better way to relax than crafting with this issue’s Sophisticated Snowflakes dies and stamp set? I LOVE this set, and I’m thrilled that Chloe Endean from Chloe’s Creative Cards has teamed up with us once again to bring this exclusive set to you. As normal, our amazing Design Team is on hand to share a ton of inspiration with you.
First up, we’ve got a wonderful set of creations from Nicky Gilburt on page 9 – where she focuses on showcasing the partial-cut nature of the die set. Next up, on page 34 we’ve turned to Sue Hastead to inject a touch of sparkle in other makes, as well as embracing the paper downloads. But that’s not all, we’ve also got a collection of cards from Jane Gundry – who shows just how versatile the set is, and how it can be just perfect for men too!
We’ve also caught up with a huge selection of our top brands to bring you their newest releases – with designs from The Ton (page 59), Card Making Magic(page 42) and Catherine Pooler (page 46) amongst others. Of course, we also wanted to ensure we were pushing your skills, and so we have a masterclass from Christine Smith, whose inventive ideas will make you look at stencils in a whole new light, as well as dabbling with shrink plastic with Ingrid over on page 22 in this issue’s Tried & Tested feature.
Whether it’s wintry designs or everyday makes you’re after, we’ve got a ton of inspiration that is bound to get you crafting right away. With all of this, plus the usual competitions, news, shopping and giveaways plus readers’ letters and cards, all that’s left for me to say is Happy Christmas, and here’s hoping 2022 is a great year for us all!
