In the Silhouette Studio software, set your design page to A4 and draw four rectangles, each measuring 9.5x13.5cm, to create the notelet fronts.

2

Arrange the designs and fonts inside the rectangles as shown, alter the line colour of the sketches so that it’s different from the colour used on the rectangles.

3

Place a piece of A4 black cardstock onto your cutting mat, so that it co-ordinates with the mat on screen.

4

Go to Cut Settings > Advanced, and change the tool settings to penholder (instead of blade) and set the line colour so that the software knows to draw the designs.

5

Follow the step-by-step below to load the penholder, then load the mat and begin.

6

Once the machine has finished, unload the mat and cut out each design. Matt each design onto kraft paper, leaving a narrow border and onto cream A6 card blanks.

7

Use a white pen to add accents and lightly rub each design with talcum powder for an authentic chalkboard look.
