Say hello to Stitched Up Craft!
We love how creative our fellow crochet designers are, and we've been admiring the colourful world of Stitched Up Craft!
Kylie, the mind behind Stitched Up Craft, is a crochet addict based in Melbourne, Australia, and we really love her colourful designs, many of which you can find over on her Ravelry collection!
Kylie has a great eye for colour and design, which is really evident over on her Instagram feed, where you can expect to find lots of crochet goodness, including variations on her Spin Your Granny Square pattern, a fabulous tutorial for crocheters looking to perfect their granny square design techniques, from crocheting the perfect granny square, to using colour and design in fabulous and dramatic ways.
Kylie's designs were part of the inspiration for the issue that is currently on sale! When we bring together a design collection for each issue of Crochet Now, we bring together a mood board just like this one over on Pinterest. We then ask designers to submit their ideas to us so we can share plenty of beautiful patterns with you! The colours Kylie used in her designs were some of the starting points for our Winter Brights collection, which you can find in issue 49 and is available to purchase now.
You can see design and colour inspiration from the mood board throughout the issue - including the Bonfire Cushion above which you can see was influenced by the gradual colour-changing granny sqaures. If you fancy having a go at designing for the magazine yourself, check out our current open-call for submissions!
Hurry, we want to hear from you before 9th December 2019!
