Review Children's Decopatch & Modelling Kits
Decopatch Elephant & Tinky the Turtle Modelling Kit
Review from my Grandaughter Leah-May aged 14
Leah-May decided to start off with the Decopatch Elephant Mini Kit, Inside the box was the Elephant not sure what this is made from but very sturdy it was light and easy to hold, also there were 2 sheets of paper, a brush and the glue/varnish, on the glue it had got a note on that it can cause allergic reaction which didnt sound good to start off with but pleased it was noted. There were no age on the box but we felt it was great for Children from the age of 10 and upwards.
It showed us on the back of the box that you put the paper on first then the glue, this was really fiddly and makes your fingers very sticky to start with, it was also hard to hold the paper on the Elephant and glue at the same time
We then tried a different way by putting the glue on the Elephant first and then put the paper on, this helped alot and held the paper in place and then we brushed the glue over it and it was alot better to put it into shape BUT the paper did get alot wetter but it didnt rip
After Leah-May had finished we could see there was still alot of paper and glue left which would be good if you had another piece to do.
The cost is £7.99 which we felt was a good amount but would'nt pay any more for the size, the Elephant was about 6cm high by 10 cm long The Elephant is a lovely piece of crafting to keep
It took about 1 hour to do.
