You will need a wire frame, cable ties and a bundle of wool roving. We got ours all together in a kit from Woolly Mahoosive, which is fabulous quality and extremely affordable.

You will also need sharp scissors.

How long does the pompom wreath take to make?

This is a super quick craft which can be made in under 30 minutes.

How do you make a pompom wreath?

The process is very simple when you're working with wool roving rather than yarn - simply cut several strands to the same length, bundle them together and attach them to the wire frame using cable ties. Watch our complete video tutorial above to see how they're made!

Are pompom wreaths suitable for crafting with children?

This is an ideal craft to do with children age 10 and up, but you may want to cut the pieces of roving yourself, depending on the child. The only fiddly part is using the cable ties.

Is this a messy craft?

You might find a few loose fibres might want to stick to your clothes, but if you work on a table or a tea tray this won't be a problem! Thanks to the Woolly Mahoosive team for this top tip.
