Pretty Flower Hexagonal Thank You Card
Measure 4.5cm from each corner of the card blank. Draw diagonal lines in pencil and trim off each corner to create an octagonal card blank.
Create a template by drawing round this on a piece of paper, then reduce each side by 1cm to work out the size of the main embossed area. Put to one side.
Emboss a 6” square of white cardstock with the folder. Apply the blue Distress Ink directly to the basket weave area to pick up the detail.
Emboss a 6x3” piece of coral pearl cardstock with the roses half of the folder then use the sanding tool to rub off the colour, exposing the white core beneath. Repeat this step with a strip of green pearl card and the wave part of the folder.
Cut the wave out and stamp the sentiment with clear ink, then add white embossing powder and heat set.
Cut a rough 4cm circle to act as a base and position the five ‘double hearts’ so the points meet in the middle. Fix to the circle, adjusting the position of each petal, then attach to the card front.
Create foliage for the flower by die-cutting the bird tail four times from white cardstock and applying green ink to each piece. Adhere behind the petals. Add a flower centre on 3D foam pads with a small die-cut circle shape and some gems to finish.
