Pink Ink Stamping
Here's a simple but effective one layer stamping technique
I adore this 'A Stitch in Time' stamp set from Pink Ink Designs, as I have an obsession with vintage machines. Sewing machines, typewriters, cameras, you name it and I probably collect them! But to have stamp sets with these beautiful items on, prettied up wih florals and foliage really is a crafter's dream come true!
To create this simple stamping effect, all you need is some blending inks (my personal favourites are Distress Inks found here
- Firstly, I stamped the sewing machine in VersaFine Ink onto white paper. This doesnt need to be very thick. I then cut around the image, leaving out the swirls and fiddly areas.
- Next I laid this 'mask' onto my cardstock and started blending colour around the edges of it using brush belnding tools. I chose to use four different blues and greens. I held the mask in place, but you could use a little repositionable spray if you prefer.
