Papercraft Essentials issue 221 is on sale 19th January
Happy new year and welcome to the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials! I can’t believe we’re in 2023 already – where does the time go? This issue, we are bringing you a 138-element Lovely Lavender cardmaking kit. I’ve really enjoyed working with the Design Team on this kit and it’s been great for them to show you how to get the most from it. I know you are going to love the papers and toppers and everything that you can create using them. The kit will allow you to make all-occasion cards and gifts easily. It truly makes some sophisticated designs that are suitable for year-round projects, as you’ll see throughout the pages of this magazine.
The Design Team have created 18 stunning projects for you to try your hand at, starting with a look at stretching your kit with other products you have lying around the house from Nicky Gilburt. Then, Glynis Bakewell shows us how versatile the kit really is with these perfect all-occasion makes! Lorraine Lowe has shown us how to make stunning creations for the special men in your life. Finally, Debbie Plowman has made some absolutely beautiful 3D projects to give you more inspiration for what you can do with this extremely versatile kit!
We have also got some ideas to make your stash go further, such as a beginner’s guide from Glenda Hall, showing us how to use inks on vellum. We have clever Washi tape makes from Marta Debicka, plus we sit down and get to know her a bit better. Vanessa Hodgson shares her ideas for heat-embossed ink-lifted designs. Mel Jess has created some wonderful gifting ideas to use up your tins and cans that are lying around your house waiting to be used or thrown away. Plus, we have fabulous new products from Card Making Magic and Lisa Horton.
This issue is jam-packed with ideas and inspiration, and I know you’ll be itching to get started with your crafting, so I shall leave you to it and don’t forget to share your makes with me!
Until next time,
Happy crafting!
