Papercraft Essentials issue 218 on sale 27th October
Welcome to the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials. This issue, we are bringing you a CraftStash & Co featuring Katie Skilton Festive Shaker card kit. I’ve really enjoyed working with Katie on this kit, and it’s been great for her to show you how to get the most from it. I know you will love this kit and everything you can create using it. The kit will allow you to make shaker Christmas cards easily or build up designs using the die-cut toppers in the kit – it makes some cute and sophisticated designs, as you’ll see throughout the magazine.
The Design Team has created 16 wonderful projects for you to try your hand at, starting with a look at how to use your kit from Katie Skilton. Then, one of this year’s Cardmaker of the Year winners, Lorraine Lowe, shows us how to make fun, non-shaker cards while still using the kit! Emma Smith shows us that the kit is perfect for those 3D projects, gift boxes, plus fabulous gift ideas. Sarah Phelan has created some wonderful winter birthday cards using the kit to show you just how versatile it really is!
We also have some ideas to make your stash go further, such as a beginner’s guide from Jessica Rourke on how to use the colour wheel for your projects. Amy Wilks shares her ways of using up your pompom stash on your festive creations, and Teresa Morgan shows us how to get the magic colour distress technique on projects. Sarah Jackman Read has created some wonderful gifting ideas to use up your old maps. Plus, we have fabulous new products from CraftStash.
This issue is jam-packed with ideas and inspiration and I know you’ll be itching to get started with your crafting, so I shall leave you to it – don’t forget to share your makes with me!
Until next time,
Happy Crafting
