Papercraft Essentials issue 217 on sale 29th September
Welcome to the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials. This issue, we are bringing you a Made To Surprise complete pop-up card kit. I’ve really enjoyed working with Sam Calcott on this kit, and it’s been great for her to show you how to get the most from it. I know you will love this kit and everything you can create using it. The kit will allow you to make kinetic Christmas cards easily or build up designs using the die-cut toppers in the kit. It makes some cute designs, as you’ll see throughout the magazine.
The design team have created 16 wonderful projects for you to try your hand at, starting with a look at how to use your kit from Sam Calcott. Then, Sarah Jackman Read shows us how to make fun cards for winter birthdays using the kit! Debbie Plowman shows us that the kit is perfect for those pop-up cards. Jessica Rourke has shown us that there is more to create than just pop-up cards using the kit to show you just how versatile it really is!
We have also got some ideas to make your stash go further, such as a beginner’s guide from Nicky Gilburt on how to get tone-on-tone stamping effectively on your designs. Sarah Phelan shares her ways of making your glitter card go further on your festive creations, and Teresa Morgan shows us how to get the trapped emboss-resist technique on projects. Plus, we have new products from CraftStash and Craft Consortium.
This issue is jam-packed with ideas and inspiration and I know you’ll be itching to get started with your crafting, so I shall leave you to it – don’t forget to share your makes with me!
Until next time,
Happy Crafting
