Hello guys! I haven’t written for a long time, but I have a lot of new things to show!

And I guess I'll start with Christmas toys. Just finished my quilted gingerbread house, which is actually a bag to carry a gingerbread doll. Because you can never have too many gingerbreads! :) Oh, that was fun!

At first I only sewed a girl, I didn’t plan to sew a boy at all. And all because of the dress I had in mind. I had an urge to add all these white "icing" details to it: a ruffle at the bottom and a trim along the upper edge. And it seemed to me that the traditional sugar buttons would look just right on the dress.

So the girl was alone for a few days, until I decided that the gingerbread boy was a classic Christmas character, and my Christmas story would not be complete without him. :)

The bag is finished with a zipper closure. There is a window on the front panel to display a doll and an elasticated pocket inside the bag to keep the doll close to the window.

The bag has enough room to put some other little things in it besides the doll. It's quilted and holds its shape perfectly.

I decorated my bag with a stuffed wreath and two candy canes. But it was quite difficult for me to choose what to use for decoration; I also wanted to use ready-made Christmas-themed buttons for crafting, beads, pom poms, or felt applique — there are a lot of possibilities! Gingerbread houses are truly the perfect place to get creative! :)
