We've found some great little (and free) crochet patterns for you to make a little crochet coin purse with a metal frame. Sometimes called a kiss-lock or snap closure, these purses are so pretty and highly addictive to make! They make fantastic gifts for family and friends and great little stocking fillers if you're thinking ahead.

We first noticed these absolutely stunning little clip frame purses by brilliant blogger Wonjun of Studio Wonjun, they look like little chicks in a nest waiting to be fed with shiny coins!

Wonjun self drafted this pattern and says in a comment on the post where she shared these beautiful purses...

"If you know how to crochet a cylinder shape, you can make this purse. It starts with a flat bottom - gradually increase until it's 1/4 inch smaller than the clasp frame then stop increase, and keep crocheting in round, it'll automatically form the cylinder shape. Keep crocheting until it reaches the height you want, finish it off, and construct with the frame."

For more experienced crocheters they'd be able to get going straight away with those simple instructions from Wonjun, but for those of you scratching you're head, we're going to need a little more detail.

We found an almost identical pattern by Spanish blogger Lana y Ovillos HERE - don't panic there's a button to translate the instructions at the top. You can also follow along with the video she's embedded.

This little pattern for a stripey crochet coin purse is similar again - it's by Brazilian blogger Alessandra of Just be Happy Crochet - we love the little wooden tag!

There is a brilliant tutorial for adding the metal frame to a crochet purse by blog Annoo Crochet Designs it has loads of step by step pictures.
