Hand-draw the cake design onto copier paper, making sure it is good solid outline. Scan this into the ScanNCut machine and save it in the memory.

Next cut out the cake image from each colour of cardstock. Layer the yellow cardstock negative panel onto blue and then pink cardstock, leaving narrow borders each time.

Fill the apertures on the yellow panel with the various colours of the birthday cake cutouts as desired.

Stamp the ‘Make a Wish’ sentiment onto lilac cardstock, layer onto yellow and blue cardstock, leaving very narrow borders all around. Add some sparkle using the Stickles glitter glue to finish.
