Lavender bags - a sweet and thoughtful gift for a special lady

1

Cut a 22.5x 17cm piece of muslin, damp the foam dabbers and sponge the fabric paint over it. Once dry, iron it on the reverse to set the colours.

2

Use a damp foam dabber to sponge white fabric paint onto the butterfly stamp and stamp it over the coloured muslin. Once dry, iron on the reverse.

3

Turn a double hem across the top of the bag and machine-stitch the lace onto it. With the pattern facing inwards, machine-stitch the short sides together and overlock it.

4

Position the side seam to be positioned in the centre of the reverse of the bag and machine-stitch the base then overlock it.

5

Turn the bag inside out to reveal the stamped side and place lavender inside. Fasten two jump rings onto a charm, thread it onto ribbon and tie the ribbon around the top to finish.
