KNITTING TUTORIAL: Lateral Braid

*K1 through the back loop (tbl) into second stitch on left hand (LH) needle, but do not drop stitches off LH needle.

K the first st on LH needle through front loop and now allow both original stitches to drop from LH needle.

Slip the last worked stitch purl-wise from right hand (RH) needle back to LH needle. Rep from * to end, but do not slip last stitch of round back to LH needle.

Insert RH needle from front to back into first loop of horizontal chain below the first stitch of the round.

Pick up and k through this loop, placing new stitch on RH needle.

Pass second stitch on RH needle over the new stitch and off the needle to finish the chain.
