KNITTING TUTORIAL: i-cord step-by-step photo tutorial
For this technique, you need two double-pointed needles. Cast on the number of stitches specified in the pattern. Here, we're working a 6-stitch i-cord. Knit 1 row.
Do not turn your work. Instead, take the needle from your right hand and put it into your left hand, and pull the working yarn across the back of your work.
You now knit another row, with this side of the work facing you. It might feel strange at this point but it will start to come together!
Continue repeating steps 2-3 and you will see your i-cord grow! As you work, give it a little tug to even out the stitches. With larger i-cord you might see a little bit of a ladder appear at the back but don't worry - as the i-cord grows, this will disappear and you'll have a lovely neat little tube of knitting!
