Love Productions are on the hunt for talented dressmakers to take part in series 8 of The Great British Sewing Bee.

The countdown to applications being open is on so we recommend getting prepared today:

You’ll need to submit a written application about your sewing journey and all those wonderful makes. Ensure you have nice photos of your finished projects to include as well.

If you’re lucky enough to be chosen you’ll probably need to prove you know your notches from your notions when the team contact you. Time to break out the sewing encyclopaedia and get studying!

Then if all goes to plan, you’re likely to have to do a sewing test to see how you perform under pressure, so it might be worth practicing your speed sewing in advance of your inevitable moment of fame.
