Hooray- geometric die-cut butterfly celebration card
Simple but effective small butterfly card with die-cut vellum sentiment panel and a scattering of gems to finish
Take a piece of white cardstock, and spray on a couple of sprays of Picked Raspberry across the card, then come back in with Mermaid Lagoon and fill in the gaps.
Make sure to use two colours that are close to one another on the colour wheel so that you don’t get a muddy result.
The spray ink will mix to give an intermediate colour (purple in this case) but if we had used green and pink for example, they would have made a browny colour where they mix.
Once the background is dry, die-cut it with a stitched square die, and from the leftovers, die-cut the ‘Hooray’ sentiment.
You’ll also need a white sentiment die-cut and butterflies too. Stack the butterflies together to give a thicker embellishment for the card, and then shadow the coloured ‘Hooray’ die-cut behind the white too.
Adhere the butterfly onto the inked panel, then cut a banner of vellum and add your sentiment. For the finishing touch add a scattering of gems.
