I must say this is exciting and a bit scarey, being a part of such a large community of crafters. I have been crafting since I was a child, thanks to my mam. Every year I would get painting by numbers for Christmas and colouring pencils with colouring books. My mam always made our clothes when we were younger, knitting and sewing and I was always facinated and curious and would sit and watch my mam sew on her old singer machine and sometimes i got to pump the treadle (lol), I guess her creativity rubbed off on me. I always loved art at school it was one of my favorite lessons and I always got good grades, but I was told art wouldnt pay the bills and that I had to get a job, which I did. I was a sewing machinist for many years. I sewed everything from jeans, sweatshirts, windsurfing sails, shoes, sheets, quilt covers, bean bags, cushion covers, curtains to name a few.
