You will need

  • Pinkfresh Butterfly stamp & die
  • Butterfly Florals stamp set
  • navy & pink cardstock
  • mixed-media cardstock
  • gold mirror card
  • vellum
  • clear embossing ink
  • Speckled Egg, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick & Salty Ocean Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink
  • Metallic Gold WOW! embossing powder
  • Gilded Ranger Tim Holtz Foundry Wax
  • 3D foam pads
  • water spritzer
  • heat tool
  • glass mat
  • manual die-cutting machine
  • 9.5cm circle die

Create a 'book' card blank by scoring 25.5cm piece of navy cardstock at 12cm and 13.5cm – this will help protect the layered butterfly inside.

Press Distress Oxide Ink onto a glass mat and sprit with water. Press mixed-media cardstock into the ink and smoosh it around starting with pink, then add blue.

Dry using a heat tool, then stamp the splats around the panel and gold heat-emboss. Trim to fit the card front and edge with Foundry Wax, heating to set. Adhere the panel to the card front and cut a circle aperture and edge with wax again.

Trim navy cardstock to fit inside the book and stamp the scripty words repeatedly down the panel. Gold heat-emboss, then adhere inside the card.

Stamp and gold heat-emboss the sentiments, layer onto mirror card and affix to the card front.

Stamp and gold heat-emboss the butterfly on vellum. Die-cut, then cut another two, one from pink and one from gold mirror card.

Fold the wings and layer together, then affix to the inside back of the card through the aperture.
