Happy birthday - an easel card featuring a tranquil meadow scene
Learn how to make this beautiful card using patterned papers for the frame, a variety of stamps featuring grasses, and acetate to create a window effect.
Score horizontally across the card front to create an easel card base and affix an 21cm-square of navy cardstock onto the easel card front.
Layer an 18cm-square piece of green spotty paper onto white cardstock and cut 15cm aperture from the centre to create a frame.
Sponge Distress Ink onto an 18cm-square piece of white cardstock and stamp the meadow image 1.5cm up from the bottom.
Stamp and heat-emboss the meadow stamp 1.5cm from the bottom of an 18cm-square piece of acetate. Affix the acetate behind the frame and secure the stamped background behind it using 3D foam pads.
Layer the frame onto the card front with a 20.5cm-square piece of blue dotty paper. Affix a 20x7cm piece of navy cardstock onto the easel base using 3D foam pads.
Layer patterned paper and white cardstock on top of the navy panel on the easel base and add a stamped sentiment and butterflies as shown to finish.
