Episode 2 of The Great British Sewing Bee 2022 will air at 9pm on Wednesday 4th May.

In this week's episode, the sewists take to their marks for Sports Week as they tacklethree new athletic challenges!

The Pattern Challenge in Episode Two is a Sewing Bee first: a pair of high-top trainers! Is that something you've ever tried? You'll be surprised at how familiar some of the techniques are - from punching eyelets to pricise hand-stitching.

Next up it's the Transformation Challenge and the sewists are back on familiar turf with a set of netball kits which they are tasked with converting into chic daytime garments.

The Made-to-Measure Challenge is sure to be exciting to watch as the contestants stitch bespoke jackets, inspired by their own sporting hero. Of course we know Patrick will be examining the construction details closely with his tailor's eye but the sewists will also be scored on how well they represent their chosen icon.
