Fun Mermaid Calendar

1

With the double-sided mermaid and stars paper showing mermaid side-up, trim the paper in half from top to bottom to create two 6x12" pieces with the mermaids the right way up.

2

Take one piece, rotate the paper then score and crease at the 6" half way point to create the card blank. Repeat with the other piece. Layer one half of one panel onto one half of the other so you have a card blank with three equal panels.

3

Die-cut a heart from the centre of the first panel, ensuring the heart is the right way round. Mount the calendar tab onto a slightly larger piece of purple patterned paper and add a row of small lilac pearls along the top edge. Fix the tab to the last of the panels using 3D foam pads, this will be the easel stopper.

4

Die-cut a starfish from turquoise paper, hang from the top of the heart aperture using gold thread and secure in place using glue. You can now stand the card blank up into its easel shape ready to embellish.

5

Take a piece of the spot UV wave paper and cut in half. Use the outlines of the wave to cut a panel to fix to the card front. Fussy-cut two mermaids from the glittered paper and fix to the card front using 3D foam pads.

6

Die-cut a selection of stars in different sizes from glittered star ombré paper and fix to the card front positioning the darker stars to the left and the paler stars to the right-hand side as shown. Add a purple die-cut shell either side of the calendar tab to finish.
