Shutter Reveal Card Template
Are you looking for ideas for new card folds? Worry not - we're bringing you a fantastic free template download and a video tutorial showing you how to decorate your DIY template base each week! Keep your eyes peeled for more shaped cards and templates in this series!
As you will see in this quick video, I use a basic template download to create a base from coloured cardstock, watch my video guide to using templates here to get up to speed! This template has a lot of pieces which need to be put together in a specific order - take your time watching the video, pausing where you need to.
This card make is exactly as described, the magic happens on the inside and is revealed when the recipient opens the gatefold. One top tip to help you with this template with the addition of a circle die, which is roughly the size of the aperture required. If you don't have a die, you can do this carefully with a craft knife. When creating the mechanism, I recommend using a pencil to mark as you go for placement and adhering the banners in place with Red Liner tape - remember this has to be able to open and close with ease and wet glue might not hack it!
As you can see, I've embellished my card with beautiful Polkadoodles Birthday Fun paper pad along with co-ordinating sentiment banners!
We hope you have enjoyed this tutorial! Grab your template below and go back in the series to find more free templates to play with.
