It's hard to believe that summer is soon coming to an end and we'll be in autumn in no time at all. Autumn instantly makes us think walking through crisp autumnal leaves in shades of red and gold. There's a great excuse to go out and get some lovely new yarn colours and perhaps crochet some pretty autumn leaves. Charlotta of In the Yarn Garden has a great pattern for these pretty crochet oak leaves here.

If you are new to crochet, trying a small pattern like a leaf is a great way to get started. Tara of Mamachee Blog has a great little tutorial for making little tiny leaves like this here.

If you make a large one they look lovely as coasters - this pattern isn't in English but you can use your browser to auto translate it for you.

Or why not create a garland - we just love this autumnal garland, it looks lovely over the fireplace.

If you are still wondering what to do with all those pretty leaves, why not use them in an autumnal wreath for a door in your house. Lucy from Attic 24 has some great ideas for different leaf types and wreaths here (there's a link to the fern pattern in the post) and in the big reveal of her amazing autumnal wreath here.
