Wrap the present with tissue paper or gift wrap and wrap a strip of hessian around the gift with a wide piece of distress-edged gingham ribbon on top.

Keep the fabric strips in place with a touch of glue on the back, then wrap string around the present multiple times and tie it in a bow on the front.

Add a rounded-top tag and two holly leaves cut from green cardstock along with red buttons as shown. Add a string bow above the holly to finish the look.
