Fancy Framed Posy Happy Birthday Card
Learn how to extend the size of a frame die with this clever die-cutting technique and finish the card with pretty die-cut flowers, ribbon and gems
Cut a white 17cm-square panel, matt onto terracotta cardstock, wrap with ribbon and attach to the card front.
Place the frame die on a piece of white cardstock and hold in place with low-tack tape. With the top cutting plate covering approximately two-thirds of the die, pass through the machine to partially die-cut.
Move the die along the card, lining up the cut sides of the card with the die and tape in place. Place into the plate sandwich with the top cutting plate covering the uncut area of the card and pass through the die-cutting machine.
Colour the die-cut frame by blending Dried Marigold and Rusty Hinge inks over it and attach to card front.
Die-cut the flowers from green and peach cardstock, then trim the flowers from the peach die-cut and attach over the green die-cut as shown. Add the flowers to the centre of the frame.
Die-cut the sentiment from peach cardstock, add to a piece of white cardstock and attach to the card front, then add a bow and pearls to finish.
