Embellished Christmas Cracker

1

Cut a 30.5x15cm piece of patterned paper and score along the long side at 7.5cm, 9cm, 10.5cm, 20cm, 21.5cm and 23cm. Fold the 7.5cm, 9cm and 10.5cm score lines as a mountain, valley and mountain fold. Repeat the same fold pattern with the 20cm, 21.5cm and 23cm score lines.

2

Cut into the long side by 6mm on the 7.5cm and 10.5cm scorelines and remove. Fold over the 9cm scoreline, pattern to pattern, and cut triangular wedges. Leave about 3-4mm attached to enable the cracker to be easily pulled.

3

Fold the 21.5cm scoreline pattern to pattern and repeat the same cutting process.

4

Add double-sided tape along the side you cut into, as shown.

5

Wrap the paper around and attach the centre section first.

6

Follow this by attaching each end next.

7

Slide in a cracker snap and attach to the inside ends using clear tape.

8

Tie off one end with ribbon and add any gifts inside, then tie off the other end and decorate to finish.
