In this video, authors Laura Minter and Tia Williams share a project with you from the book... the Egg Box Flower Crown! This beautiful crown is made entirely out of materials you will find in your recycling bin. With a lick of paint they can be transformed into a crown fit for a king or queen!

You will need

  • 5 or 6 small empty egg boxes
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • PVA glue
  • Paint
  • 12 bottle lids
  • Strip of corrugated card
1

Cut each egg compartment out of the egg boxes, then cut down each side to create four flaps. Press the flaps flat.

2

Draw petal shapes onto each side of the egg compartments, then cut out to create a flower. Repeat so you have 16–20 flowers
