Dragon’s eye journal - a fabulous and dramatic gift for a friend

1

Add colour to the front and back covers using Distress Oxide Ink in various shades of green, and add Aged Mahogany in places. Position the stencil over the design and add Translucent Stencil Dimensions medium for texture. While the paste is still wet sprinkle fine glitter over then leave to dry.

2

Stamp the dragon eye twice onto white cardstock and use Distress Oxide Ink to add colour.

3

Cut around both eyes, and cut out the actual eye from one. Using 3D foam pads, layer the two together and give the green eye a coat of Crystal Glaze.

4

When the stencil paste image is dry, sponge over the top using Black Soot ink. The stencil paste acts as a resist, so the ink only settles in between the scales. Wipe off all the excess ink leaving the stencil design to show through.

5

Attach the eye onto the front of the notebook and add a gold heat-embossed sentiment on a stamped banner.
