Distress Ink Colour Combinations: Part 3

In this new series we will be teaching you everything you need to know about Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink. Learn which colours work well together and boost your blending skills to create unique designer backgrounds with ease!

For part three of the series, I have selected Antique Linen Distress Ink plus Black Soot, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink - you can mix these together to try new effects. Note that normal Distress Inks are not as creamy or pigmented as Oxides but you can use them in the same way. As you can see, today's colour combination is so decadent - we're warming up the cooler tones with the linen for a rich luxe effect. As in last week's video, I brought black in to deepen those colours to create new shades!

As you can see, not only have I lifted some of the colour from the background, but also from within the heat-embossed flowers for a gorgeous vellum look! A statement sentiment and a white card blank and we're finished. What do you think?

I hope you have enjoyed part three of this inky series, please share your versions of each combination if you have a go!

Happy inking,

Lou
