Die Cut Birthday Love Heart Card
Create this pretty background using wax paper techniques and blending inks, then make the rest of the card with die-cutting and peals
Place the top lobes of the heart die over the fold of a card blank and die-cut to create a heart-shaped card blank. Cut a straight edge at the bottom, parallel to the fold so it stands un-aided.
Sandwich a piece of wax paper between two pieces of white cardstock, set your iron to max and evenly iron over the sandwich.
To add a pearl finish and colour to your wax resist, mix co-ordinating colours of Distress Ink and Nuvo Mousse together with water and create an ombré wash.
Die-cut the background into a heart, layer it onto the card front, die-cut a filigree heart frame and secure it on top.
Die-cut the word ‘love’ three times from white cardstock, stack the die-cuts, affix to the card front and create the rest of the sentiment using a DYMO Label Maker.
Use a white gel pen to add doodles to the design and embellish with a scattering of pearls to finish.
