Crochet Now issue 113 - on sale Thursday 10th October

This month, we’ve dreaming of cold nights spent crocheting by an open fire and plenty of hot chocolates and mince pies to keep us going. There’s something about this time of year that really inspires us to get making, whether it’s finally working with that new chunky yarn that’s been sitting in our stash all summer, or the gift-giving season creeping up on us… whatever it is, we’re so excited to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with you!

We’ve created our very own winter wonderland this issue, with everything from essential
accessory sets to cute and cosy amigurumi. Our cover garment this month is the amazing Cosy Candlelight sweater (page 20), an on-trend cropped style made in super-chunky yarn. 'Tis the season for chunky yarns, so we’ve also got the Twist and Turn poncho (page 12), a heavier-weight accessory to throw over your festive 'fits whatever the weather. Everyone loves
accessorising with a hat and mitts, and the Fantastical Frost set (page 50) is made in classic Christmas shades, but why not change it up to suit your wardrobe for winter and beyond?

Now is the time to welcome some new additions to your cosy blanket collection, and we’ve got some great options for you. The Perfect Poinsettia throw (page 16) is a great choice if you’re looking to wrap yourself up on the sofa. Or if you really want to lean into the festive season, the Santa’s Coming to Town blanket (page 60) is a bold and bright make adorned with Santa motifs! We’ve also got the most adorable amigurumi this issue, meet Coco the Reindeer (page 42) who is out enjoying a wintry walk with his hot chocolate.

But that’s not all, it’s time for our annual TOFT pattern collection! We love working with Kerry and the TOFT team, and this year’s edition is one of our favourites. Packed with 12 must-make patterns for you and your loved ones, it’s got everything you could possibly need, from festive homeware to warming accessories. Plus, we’re also teaming up with Wallace & Gromit for a fantastic collection of makes for the holidays, featuring a new and exclusive stocking pattern designed by Zoë Potrac!

We hope you love all of the projects this issue, and don’t forget to share your makes with us!

Merry making
