Crochet Now issue 111 - on sale 15th August
We're so excited for the latest issue of Crochet Now
Let’s be honest, summer has well and truly passed us by this year, so rather than fighting it,
we’re turning our sights to the cosy weather to come. Every crafter’s favourite season is autumn; who doesn’t love super-squishy yarns, hot chocolates and nights in working on
your latest project? This issue, we’re completely immersing ourselves in that feeling of sitting
by the fire with a good book, or in this case, the latest issue of Crochet Now!
We’ve got plenty of projects to really get you in the bookish mood, starting off strong with the Wrapped Up in a Book scarf (page 12), which would make the perfect gift for any bookworms in your life. Our cover star, the Academia tank top (page 44), is a striking make that allows you to study in style this season; who said you can’t be cute and cosy? And we’ve even got our very own Gus the Reader Raccoon (page 36) who is living out our bookish dreams in his crocheted armchair!
When we think of autumn, we also think of chilly woodland walks and rushing back home to warm up under a blanket with a hot drink. Snuggle up with the Calendula blanket (page 28), made in the most gorgeous warm tones and featuring a gentle, calendula motif. The Perfect Pumpkins (page 72) are a great quick make to transition your décor into the new season – make them in any colours you like!
This issue, we’re also treating you to two bonus supplements! First up is an official RSPB mobile pattern booklet so you can create a delicate mobile that showcases all of your favourite birds. We’ve also got, in association with our friends at Caron and Lily Sugar’n Cream, a Seasons of Colour homeware book to really refresh your space for autumn; there’s truly something for everyone in this issue.
Merry making!
