Crochet Now issue 109 - on sale 20th June
We are excited to announce that issue 109 of Crochet Now is on sale soon!
This issue’s theme has had us all excited about summer holidays at the seaside and ice creams on the beach. Whilst the weather in the UK is still fighting against those grey days, we hope this issue brings you a bit of sunshine. Our designers have worked on some wonderful patterns this month that’ll get you and your wardrobe ready for the warmer weather.
We’ve got plenty of super-sweet makes for you this issue, starting with the Sweet Sprinkles cardigan (page 30) – it’s the perfect project for ice-cream dates with your little one. And if you still haven’t got your sorbet thrill, why not try the Summer Scoops cushion on page 62 and bring a bit of summer cheer into your home, or the Gelato wrap (page 66) which, made from super-soft cotton yarn, will brighten up any of your summer holiday outfits.
Summer means plenty of picnics in the park, and what’s better than laying out your treats onto a delightful crochet blanket? The Field of Daisies blanket (page 42) features adorable flower pompoms for that extra-sweet touch, and why not get started on the Here Comes the Fun throw (page 54) or the Polka-dot Party blanket (page 14) that showcase some really striking colours and techniques!
If you’re anything like us, you always need more crochet storage, and this issue’s handy hook stand is a great way to show off your hook collection! And we’re taking you back to basics with our bonus Learn to Crochet book. A staple in everyone’s collection, or a great tool to help teach your loved ones how wonderful crochet is, we’ve combined all our tips, tricks and stitches (alongside some gorgeous projects) to create this all-essential guide just for you!
Finally, don’t miss our amazing Bagpuss tea-cosy pattern this month; It’s one of our favourite
projects. We’re so excited to make our own versions and see yours too! Head over to page 18 to see Bagpuss in all his glory and take a peek at him in the original Firmin household.
Merry making,
