We’ve stepped a little bit out of our comfort zone here at Crochet Now HQ to pull together this month’s themed collection. I, like many of our lovely readers, tend to gravitate to lots of colour; the brighter the better, and if I can use pink and mint, you better believe I will! But in discussions with our sister magazine, Knit Now, I fell down a Pinterest rabbit hole of floaty garments, soft pastels and fairy tale fashion and just knew that we had to give this colour palette a go – don’t worry though, I still managed to work plenty of my favourite pinks in there!

When the sample for the Ethereal top arrived in the office, I immediately tried it on and fell in love! I hope you will too with its textured stitches and enjoyable construction. For something
a little more tailored, try the Olivia tee from the experts at Rowan, and if you fancy a challenge, the deliciously gorgeous Plumaria Tunisian capelet will be right up your street! The Textured Meadow wrap uses shades of yellow that I wouldn’t tend to use myself, but sit simply perfectly in this season of designs, as well as being such fun to work up!

It’s easy to inject this airy aesthetic into your home as well, starting with the pretty puffed chevron blanket and working through the Lily Pond cushion (page 48), Maharani mandala
and Ferro chevron bag (page 74). It wouldn’t be an issue of Crochet Now without some of the most adorable amigurumi you can find – and I dare you not to want to hook up Astro the narwhal immediately

Speaking of amigurumi, I hope you will love this month’s official pattern as much as I do! The Magic Roundabout is a show full of whimsy and delight, perfectly captured in this sweet set of toys, including Ermintrude riding a hot air balloon – what a treat to see this hanging over the shelf of a little one's bookcase.
